Winclone Backup is included with every edition of Winclone 5. The all new Winclone Backup feature provides scheduled, incremental snapshots of your files so you can retrieve earlier versions or accidentally deleted data. I wanted to migrate my Bootcamp Windows 8.1 partition onto an external hard. Winclone is the most reliable cloning solution when migrating Boot Camp to a new Mac. 1 Hi, I just thought I would post some experiences of Winclone 4.4 after having purchased it for a specific task. Winclone is the most complete solution for protecting your Boot Camp Windows system against data loss. It also includes Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 cloning! Now I’m thinking about putting a flashed thunderbolt card into my 5,1.Winclone allows you to clone your Boot Camp partition. I have reinstalled all the data, and made another partition for Bootcamp through the Bootcamp Assistant, but when I have gone to restore the Winclone partition it fails.

But with opencore you always see all your bootable disks when you first boot and can pick whichever system you want within a few seconds and if you don’t change the drive you selected in startup disk it will then boot into that system. I recently backed up my computer, backed up my Bootcamp partition with Winclone, and then upgraded the harddrive. I feel uneasy about restoring from the June backup directly to the BCP when my discs are healthy but the way they work together is not right. My last monthly Winclone backup before that is from June 5th. It was a pain in the ass to figure it out but now I can play Doom eternal at 100fps in 2k with my 5700xt, on my Mac Pro5,1 and I get boot screen and can switch between OSX and Windows 10, you can select which OS you want to boot from using apples startup disk. I made a Winclone backup on July 4th when issue first occurred. Then I put the windows ssd into my Mac Pro running Catalina 10.15.5 with opencore 0.5.6 and bingo. I did sort of a crazy install by putting a second ssd in my 2012 MacBook Pro running Catalina, I removed one of my two ssds and put the new blank one in, installed windows 10 with boot camp then converted the drive from MBR to GPT, when you do that the MacBookpro can no longer boot off the windows drive once it’s converted to GPT.

It is a bit tricky as opencore does not support legacy installs of windows 10 which is what bootcamp will install if you use it.
